Asset Management
Asset management is the profession of managing the mix of a firm's assets.
The asset manager balances different types of assets in a manner which will serve the firm's best interests in terms if liquidity and profitability.
Improper asset management occurs when funds are tied up in a certain asset although they could be used more lucratively somewhere else.
